Lisa Budd's artwork is inspired by the surrounding beach and marshes where she lives. She has always been fascinated with watercolor and strives to capture the light and luminous qualities of her subjects. Working from sketches or photos, she prefers to mix her pigments on the paper, letting the colors blend. The series of fish paintings are achieved by pouring paint on 'yupo' paper and lifting out the shapes while still wet, drawing the painting with the brush.
